-------------------------------------- SUMMARY.- During the short time in which molecular biology exits as a science, several contributions have been made to improve the technical revolution we are attending nowadays. The DNA Polimerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a technic that allows to identify new genes, to quantify and characterize nucleotid secuences. This paper makes a brief description of a revolutionary method that may improve scientific research and may modify diagnostic areas in a close future. Some of the recent developments, its instrumentation and methodology are establised here. |
